Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church

Our mission is to invite all people to know Jesus, grow through the power of the Holy Spirit,
and go forward to serve all God's children.

From Pastor Ellen Arthur

Our mission is to invite all people to know Jesus, grow through the power of the Holy Spirit, and go forward to serve all God's children.

Ellen Arthur

We invite all people to know Jesus by sharing God’s love and telling people about His free gift of grace and forgiveness. Encouraging people to connect with God through lives of prayer, praise, thanksgiving, witness, and service. Experiencing authentic, passionate worship as a community gathered around word and sacrament.

Grow deeper in faith and spiritual maturity through the power of the Holy Spirit by encouraging a personal understanding of the importance and power of the sacraments in our lives. Encourage people to read God’s word, pray daily, and see life as the primary setting for the exercise of their Christian calling in the world. Providing opportunities for faith formation for God’s children of all ages.

Go forward to serve all God’s children by putting our faith into action through the giving of our time, talents, and resources to humbly serve those in need. Demonstrating God’s love and mercy even when it is outside of our comfort zone. Welcoming and connecting with each other and the community to be a place where people find hope and restoration in Jesus.
