Message Series : Say Yes To Love & Grace

Jan 1/2 through Feb 5/6

This series will kick off our Year long theme “We Say Yes” as we once again seek to aspire to our DN A .  Saying Yes to everything that wants us to Receive, to Become, and to A ctively Do is what the Christian life is all about.  This six-week series will focus on our Mission to Share the Life-Changing Love and Grace of Jesus Christ.

 

Jan 1/2

Title:  A ll Things New

Text:  2 Corinthians 5:16-19 (The Message)

Preacher:  John

DN A :  Mission Statement:  Sharing the Life-Changing Love and Grace of Jesus Christ  and Bedrock Belief: God is the creator of all.  Everything we are and have belongs to God.

Theme:  This “new Year’s” message will remind us that we are made new in Christ to be a New Creation in the world.  This “newness” happens because grace is all about “getting a do-over” and all about “ transformation by love and grace.

 

Jan 8/9

Title:  Rick Being Changed

Text:  Ephesians 4:17-32 (The Message)

DN A :  Mission Statement:  Sharing the Life-Changing Love and Grace of Jesus Christ and Core Value:  Grow Continuously in Faith & Service

Theme:  Christians are called to be changed (transformed) by love and grace.  Too many Christians look ans act like everyone else – we don’t risk the change!  God calls us to be different, to stand out, to be like Christ!  We can do it, but not on our own strength.  Only through encountering fully the love and grace of Jesus with openness will we be changed.

Text:  Psalm 84 and Luke 6:12

DN A :  Mission Statement:  Sharing the Life-Changing Love and Grace of Jesus Christ and Core Value:  Worship Daily with all our Hearts, Minds, and Souls

Theme:  We are given many different ways to love God including loving self and loving neighbor – but – pure and simple love of God is living a life of daily worship of God and God’s presence in our lives.  Cultivating a life of daily worship will bring the love and grace more deeply in and through you as you give honor and glory to God.

Title:  Share: Love Self

Text:  Genesis 1:26-31 and John 3:16

DN A :  Mission Statement:  Sharing the Life-Changing Love and Grace of Jesus Christ  and Bedrock Belief: God is the creator of all.  Everything we are and have belongs to God

Theme:  We A RE created in GOD’S IM A GE and LIKENESS!  We are to honor God and others by honoring the creation, including self.  God loves us so much that God sent Jesus.  Jesus loves us so much that Jesus died for us.  Living fully begins when we know and believe that God makes each one of us special and unique.  Caring for self, nurturing self, and becoming self is integral to living the mission God calls us to live.

 

Jan 29/30

Title:  Share:  Love Neighbor

Text:  Romans 13:8-10 and Matthew 25:31-46

DN A :  Mission Statement:  Sharing the Life-Changing Love and Grace of Jesus Christ  and Mission A ction:  Serve

Theme:  We are called to go beyond love of God in worship and love of self and into a life that is dominated by love of, care for, and service to others.  A life that honors God will also honor and serve neighbor.  In our world of self-gratification and egocentrism we must stand out as people who serve our neighbors in many and various ways, even at personal cost.
