Holy Week

Sunday April 9th - Palm Sunday
Regular service schedule 8:30am and 10:30am
Palm Sunday, also known as Sunday of the Passion. We begin by celebrating Jesus' triumphant arrival in Jerusalem for the Jewish Festival of Passover. Crowds have lined the street waving palm branches and exalting "Hosanna" to welcome him. We end by hearing the entire Passion of the Lord (according to Luke) and cries of "Crucify Him".

Thursday April 13th - Maundy Thursday
Services at Noon and 7:00pm
We remember the betrayal of Jesus by one of his disciples but more importantly the institution of the Lord's Supper. Using elements of the Passover meal, Jesus gives us the Sacrament of Holy Communion, the sacrament of himself. So all may participate, we will wash hands, being reminded that "these hands once stained by sin are washed clean in the blood of Jesus and strengthened to serve" as Jesus commands us to love one another.

Friday April 14th - Good Friday
Services at Noon and 7:00pm
This day is remembered as the day Jesus died for us on the cross. We will be using a Taize Worship style which uses meditative singing and periods of silence to help all achieve a contemplative state.

Saturday April 15th - Saturday Seder
Service at 5:00pm
This service will incorporate some elements of the Vigil service, ending with Holy Communion. Reservations are required for this intimate service.

Sunday April 16th - Easter Sunday

Regular service schedule 8:30am and 10:30am
RESURRECTION! CHIRIST IS RISEN! Holy Communion will be distributed at both services.
